Lynn C. Thompson's love of the Filipino Martial Arts inspired him to develop the Luzon Folders. Drawing inspiration from several balisongs in his collection, but functioning as a flipper, the Luzons are a politically correct alternative for those who are unable to legally own balisongs. Cold Steel 20NQL-ODBK Medium Luzon Flipper Knife 4" Black Plain Blade, OD Green GFN Handles
I had to buy the knife. It was named after the island I'm from. As far as the knife itself. The blade lock is a nice addition to prevent accidental closing of the blade. The blade is good, sharp enough to handle daily tasks. The handle is pretty bulky, but it is a pretty big blade to carry in your pocket. The pocket clip has to be forced into my pocket because it's pretty stiff. Only real complaint is that it's difficult to close with one hand. I'm able to close all my other frame lock knives easily with one hand. It was a little rough to open at first, but seems to have gotten easier with time.

This knife is exactly how I thought it'd be. I already own the larger one so I got the smaller one to add my collection. Cold steel knives are never a disappointment imo. Price is fantastic and the fit and finish for that price is easily acceptable. Knife center always does a great job at listing knives with complete descriptions. I always know what I'm buying before I get it in hand.

I carry a knife for such times as I might need it, end of story on that. This one is the quickest to open, just a flick and there it is. I had an issue and took it apart and found it has two bearings, wow, no wonder is so quick to open. Got it just right and good to go. And the sharpness of the best of all the knives I own, outstanding knife. Do not hesitate to buy, I am looking at getting another one for my brother to carry...
