Very good, no-frills
This is one of my emergency home invasion weapons, and I hope I don't have to use it. But it's very fun to train with.It is cheaper than most rondels online for a good reason: the handle is a bit shoddy and the finish on the blade isn't very pretty. Like most Cold Steel weapons it is visibly a little cheap for collectors, but high quality in combat.Outside of so-so looks, it really is a very nice rondel. The weight is excellent for icepick grip while still working well in hammer grip. The blade itself is terrifyingly sharp and quite strong, it would be difficult to bend out of shape and it blocks incoming attacks effectively. The sheath is also a little cheap-looking but functions well and came well-oiled. Just a really fun weapon. Maybe a little too long for some people, it is easy to poke yourself.I would somewhat cautiously recommend this to people interested in medieval / Renaissance weapons: it's cool, looks the part, is affordable, but there are better options. If you're like me and think a weapon like this is an effective defense in certain modern fights, then this no-frills rondel might be the best option.
