The Basic Folder BF series from Extrema Ratio are compact-sized offerings with all the strength of a fixed blade. They range in size from the BF1 which is the smallest at 6.73" overall, to the BF3 Dark Talon which is a whopping 10.79" overall, depending on your particular needs. However, they all share the same basic design and features. All the blades are burnished through zirconium carbonitruration and the handles are burnished through anodization, for a discreet, tactical look. The N690 blades have flat grindings and the points are especially thick and resistant (a characteristic peculiar to this series). The "Classic" handle is full with the characteristic lowered flat zone to enable the use of the thumb stud without emerging from the profile of the closed knife. They have a reversible, deep carry pocket clip which is among the best in the industry. The handle designs change slightly with the variations in size but all are very ergonomic and provide for a good grip even though the designs lack jimping.
