Classic design, safe the grip, and quality manufacturing are all components of the Four Star knives by ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS.

Sturdy, heavy knife with broad, strong blade and fine cutting edge. The all rounder for professionals and hobby chefs that cleans vegetables, minces herbs and chops. The workhorse of all knives. Also known as the cook's knife. Knife handle is rocked up and down with one hand while the fingers of the other hand rests lightly on the back of the blade.

Blade dimensions: 160mm/6". Made in Solingen, Germany.

Good Value
I purchased this for a family member who had woefully inadequate kitchen knives; it was a combination of a gift and an intervention. I got the chance to use it and was quite pleased. I prefer a larger chef's knife but this size seems to be much less intimidating to the the novice user so that they will actually use it and discover the joy of quality kitchen knives. I do not have any long term experience with it so no opinion on durability or ease of sharpening but given the manufacturer I do not have concerns.
