Living in North Idaho, Jake knows the mountains. Having summited all of the tallest peaks in North Idaho, he can safely say that you always need a sturdy blade with you at all times. If you like large knives, then the Summit is for you. A 4.375" blade is gonna be one of the largest folders in your collection. But he didn't want you to have to carry around a one-pound chunk of metal...so he internally lightened the frame and went with 0.1875" thick material. You can rest easy that this knife will be comfortable to carry and awesome to use. Also...The thumb studs are adjustable, so you can position them in the best place for you to flick open the blade!

feels awesome to handle

feels great. i've only used it a couple of times for light slashing, eg, plastic bags...but i carry it often - good deterrent ;) and just pleasing to the eye.
