The original Zero Tolerance 0454 was an award-winning collaboration between ZT and custom knife designer Dmitry Sinkevich. But it was also a very Limited Edition knife.
So ZT is doing something about that with the new 0450. While based on the original’s streamlined form and high-performance function, this new and more compact version will be much more readily available. With its 3.25-inch blade and lightweight-yet-stronger-than-steel titanium handles, the 0450 has a sleek and sophisticated look that, we think, makes it a perfect EDC.
ZT built it with an S35VN stainless blade that sharpens to a razor edge, holds it well, and can be resharpened easily. The knife opens smoothly and easily with the KVT ball-bearing opening system and built-in flipper. A titanium frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert ensures solid lock up. Polished pivot hardware just adds to the 0450's refined good looks.
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
Titanium Handles
A nonferrous metal, it's prized for its high strength to weight ratio and is often used on higher end knives.
Frame Lock
Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.

S35VN Stainless Steel
An evolution of the popular S30V steel, S35VN offers a greater degree of toughness without much sacrifice in edge retention. Perfect for mid-range and premium knives.
One of my favorite knives of ALL time - it's one of the best made pocket knives on the market as most agree but after having to use it to protect my family, and it performing better than I could have ever dreamed, I must put the ZT 0450 at a level above what I normally give a pocket knife. This is a survival tool and a self protection EDC MUST. Period. ZT 0450. Gun. Everything else....
Beautiful knife but same issue I had with the ZT 0022 Tim Galyean - literally won't function for lefties unless you modify your grip in such a way as to endanger your fingers. Flipper was so tight I had little confidence in opening it safely and rubbed finger raw trying to open. Returned.
