Kershaw Knives

OLIVE DRAB YOUR COLOR? THEN HERE'S YOUR LEEK

There are lots of very good reasons the Leek is one of the most popular Kershaws. For one thing, the slim blade is remarkably versatile. This modified drop-point blade shape gives it good slicing capabilities, while the slim tip lets it excel at piercing and detail work. The blade steel is high-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless that sharpens to a razor edge and holds the edge for a good long time. The 3-inch blade is perfect for most day-to-day tasks.

Leek lovers also love the fast and easy opening provided by SpeedSafe assisted opening. Whether you're left-handed or right-handed, a simple pull back on the ambidextrous flipper or push outward on the thumbstud and the Leek's blade is ready to go to work.

But the newest and most obvious thing about this Leek is the new olive drab handle color. The color is eye-catching and different, but also discrete. The olive drab color is fade-resistant, scratch-resistant, and permanently bonded to the anodized aluminum—so it looks good now and looks good later, too.

For safety, a locking liner keeps the blade locked open during use and a Tip-Lock slider locks it closed when folded. The pocketclip is reversible for tip-up or tip-down carry and the handle is drilled to accept a lanyard. This slim, easy-to-carry design, with plenty of cutting versatility just may be the perfect EDC.

Features

  • Flipper - May be used on either manual or assisted opening knives. The "flipper" is a protrusion on the back of the blade that the user can pull back on, or flip, in order to move the blade easily out of the handle.
  • SpeedSafe® - Assists you to open any SpeedSafe® knife quickly and easily with a manual push on the thumbstud or pull back on the flipper; built into many Kershaw best sellers.
  • Liner Lock - Locks the blade open during use; one side of the knife's steel “liner,” the steel plate to which the handle scales are attached, moves into position behind the blade to securely lock it open.
  • Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.
  • Made In The USA - When you see this on one of the knives, it means it was made in their Tualatin, Oregon manufacturing facility by skilled Kershaw knifemakers.

Very Nice Knife
This knife has become my EDC. It was razor sharp right of the box and I haven't had to sharpen it yet. I use it for stripping wires of all sizes, opening boxes and anything else that I need to cut. I'm very careful not to use the tip for prying because it's very pointed and I'm afraid it will break. I personally think the blade lock is an overkill, I don't use it, but I guess it's nice if you want it. Nothing about the knife surprised when I received it because it's as advertised. One note: the pocket clip is not reversable.

Overachiever
This knife changed my perception on EDC. Let me explain. I am in construction & property mngmt, and this is the 1st knife that truly checks all the boxes. Its light, thin, durable, sharp, cheap, comfortable in use and in pocket, and most importantly made in USA. I use my knife every day, and sometimes test its limits. I like how the knife works like a much larger knife, it seems like it has more blade than the closed knife would suggest. The only issue I have ever had was breaking the tip off, but that was more me then the knife, I was really pushing its limits and actually kinda curious how far I could go, and after having a few of these work horses its never happened again since. Keep in mind there are 2 versions of this knife, an aluminum handle and all others. the difference being in the locking mechanism, and I will only purchase the aluminum handle version. I liked it so much i bought one for all my staff and a few friends and made a believer out of all of them. I like a knife that does not get in the way when not in use, and it is like its not there. The value factor can not be ignored, especially being made in the USA, I will not buy a knife otherwise. Think of it this way, would you lend your money to someone if you knew you would not get it back, even if promised huge interest? NO, no one would. Thats what you are doing when you buy from China. Buy as much American made as you can and support our country.

Best knife I’ve owned at 20
This knife has completely changed my view on edc knives. It is small enough you rarely feel it in your pocket but it’s durable and strong enough to get just about anything done. Plenty of camping trips have gone by where this little guy has filleted fish, carved tools and much more. Takes a bit to sharpen but it’s not too bad
