Remember when you said, "I wish you guys made a plain black Leek with a stonewashed blade"?
Well, they made it.
Like other Leeks, it features a task-ready 3-inch blade, slim, easy-to-carry design, and cutting versatility. The modified drop-point blade shape makes it a good slicing knife, while the slim tip gives it excellent piercing and detail work capabilities. Built of Sandvik 14C28N high-performance stainless steel, the Leek's blade comes razor sharp out of the box and holds its edge, too. We gave it a roughened up, stonewashed finish to hide scratches and for general cool looks. Of course, it also has SpeedSafe assisted opening for fast and easy one-handed opening. Left- or right-handed, a simple pull back on the ambidextrous flipper or push outward on the thumbstud and the Leek's stonewashed blade is ready to go to work.
A sturdy liner lock keeps the blade open during use and a Tip-Lock slider locks it closed when folded. The pocketclip is reversible for tip-up or tip-down carry and the handle is drilled to accept a lanyard.
Features
Flipper - May be used on either manual or assisted opening knives. The "flipper" is a protrusion on the back of the blade that the user can pull back on, or flip, in order to move the blade easily out of the handle.
SpeedSafe® - Assists you to open any SpeedSafe® knife quickly and easily with a manual push on the thumbstud or pull back on the flipper; built into many Kershaw best sellers.
Liner Lock - Locks the blade open during use; one side of the knife's steel “liner,” the steel plate to which the handle scales are attached, moves into position behind the blade to securely lock it open.
Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.
Made In The USA - When you see this on one of the knives, it means it was made in their Tualatin, Oregon manufacturing facility by skilled Kershaw knifemakers.

Kershaw 1660SWBLK Ken Onion Leek Assisted Flipper Knife 3" Stonewashed Plain Blade, Black Aluminum Handles
IMO, This is just about the perfect EDC knife: I always give them as gifts to my friends. Very high quality. With the clip flipped for tip-up carry, the knife can be unlocked and flicked open with one hand - point out. I have few other knifes that open as quickly and easily as this one.Perhaps could be a bit lighter and thinner (particularly the all stainless version)

Pros: Ease of Opening, Pocket Clip, Overall Quality
Cons: Handle Material
I keep buying these.
I love it, my third Leek, I was surprised and disappointed that the black part of the handle is plastic and not anodized metal.

Pros: Weight, Pocket Clip, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Handle Material
good but one problem
This is my edc knife, and it certainly has done its job well. Whether opening boxes, eating, or any cutting task, it preforms admirably. There are 2 reasons for my 3 star reviewreason 1: The knife rusts fairly quickly. It rained everyday for about 2 weeks and I also carry the knife in my pocket when I exercise. I have had the knife for about 2 months, and there is a ring of rust where the blade is joined with the nub you use to open it on both sides. There are also tiny specs of rust on the blade close to the cutting edge.reason 2: the assist on my knife was not very strong out of the box. It took about a week or so of use to get it to open with one motion. You could call it user error but I have used other assisted folding knives and never had suck difficulty getting it to open in one swing.conclusion: This review is not intended to be a bashing of this knife. I still carry it everyday and I would recommend this knife for anyone looking for a relatively cheap edc. The only things I would warn someone of is keep it dry and don't expect the spring assist to be very strong. It will get the knife open, but the spring is no power house.
