Like all Blurs, the 1670NBSW is equipped with a big, slightly recurved blade that's ideal for multitasking. The blade shape offers both excellent slicing and piercing capabilities. High-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel provides the Blur's blade with corrosion resistance and excellent edge-holding ability. The stonewashed blade finish gives the surface a desirable roughened or scuffed look that helps hide scratches and fingerprints.
The handle is built of durable 6061-T6 anodized aluminum, which is sometimes described as “aircraft aluminum” since it is a common material used for aircraft fittings. It's lightweight, extremely durable, and anodizes well so Kershaw can create colored handles that are scratch resistant and extra tough. Trac-Tec grip-tape inserts provide an extra-secure grip. The Blur's inset liner lock ensures secure blade lock up during use.
For easy one-handed opening, the Blur is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening. Just push on the built-in thumbstud. The reversible pocketclip lets you carry tip-up or tip-down comfortably.
Features
SpeedSafe - Assists you to open any SpeedSafe knife quickly and easily with a manual push on the thumbstud or pull back on the flipper, built into many Kershaw best sellers.
Liner Lock - Locks the blade during use; one side of the knife's steel "liner," the steel plate to which the handle scales are attached, moves into position behind the blade to securely lock it open.
Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.
Made in The USA - When you see this on one of our knives, it means the knife was made in out Tualatin, Oregon manufacturing facility by skilled Kershaw knifemakers.

Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.

Love This Knife
I initially bought this knife as something to add to my collection since I liked the uniqueness and color of it. After having used is as my EDC for several months now, its definitely my favorite EDC knife so far. The angled thumb studs make opening super easy, knife fits well in my hand, the assisted open and liner lock are both great. The blade holds up very well, I use this daily in an industrial environment for anything from opening packages and bags to cutting air lines and tough washdown hoses. Even removing outer jackets on cables. Would highly recommend this knife to anyone looking for an effective American-made at a decent price.

Pro.s: Handle. I like everything about it - color, inset liner lock, track-trek insets provide a rubberized grip (like bits of ground-up asphalt), finish, ergo.s are good. Made in USA.Blade - I like the ricasso for safety. 14c28n is nice steel.Con.s: no flipper, only angled thumbstuds. I find the thumbstuds a bit tricky to use. I would feel a lot safer if this had a flipper or would open manually with regular shaped thumbstuds. I have other Kershaws and this is the first one that made me nervous to open. I am a female with small/med. sized hands. If I hold the knife vertically with the lanyard hole pointing at the floor, the blade opens such that my thumb slides dangerously close to the recurve edge. The safest way I can open this is to point the backspacers toward the ceiling and blade spine toward the floor. Then, I push the thumbstud forward. In this manner, my thumb is safely clear of the opening blade. The closing mechanism is fine.Other minor bugaboos: prefer jimping to be located above thumbstuds; there is a spine “bump” where spine meets handle. I would prefer a flatter spine. Bump may help with grip though.I bought this as an emergency seat belt cutter. Then one week later, Kershaw released the drivetrain. If the drivetrain was made in the USA, had a bright handle and 14c28N steel - it would be perfect for me.
