THE NEXT ITERATION IN THE SHUFFLE SERIES

The first thing you'll notice about the Antic is its oversized ring. Use it to attach the Antic to a keychain or as a lanyard attachment. In addition, the ring also provides enhanced ergonomics. Slide your pinkie through the ring for a karambit-style grip. And while karambit knives are usually very aggressive self-defense tools, with the Antic, you can enjoy this style of knife in a casual, pocket-friendly format. And unlike a strictly self-defense knife, the Antic offers a variety of other tools, too. The end of the ring is a flat head screwdriver, which also doubles as a mini-pry bar. There's even a cleverly-placed bottle opener at the end of the back handle. This unobtrusive opener won't interrupt your grip or poke your leg while carrying. And of course, it does its job very well.

The Antic's under 2" blade offers plenty of belly for a wide range of cutting tasks. It locks into place for use with a sturdy frame lock. The stainless steel handle is finished with an attractive navy blue PVD coating. Jimping on both blade and handle provides for a secure grip and cutting control. At just 3.1 ounces, the Antic is a lightweight, and comfortable to carry. Neither too bland nor too flashy, the Antic is versatile, value priced, and a great addition to your collection.

Better than first impression
I purchased this small knife to carry in places where a larger EDC would draw unwanted attention, and the versatility of a bottle opener, pry bar, etc. appealed to me. I was also under the impression that the round hole would make the knife more secure for its diminutive length. Upon receipt I tried it out and was immediately disappointed. It seemed to be awkward with either my ring finger or my pinkie in the hole, placing the rest of my hand either too far or too close to the blade. Also the square corners on the hole made the knife additionally uncomfortable with this grip. I was about to consider returning or giving it away. However, I looked again at the KC listing and their quick video, and noticed their grip was around the outside of the loop, not through it. Ah. On trying this grip, it makes far more sense this way and is much more comfortable. Chalk this on up to my false assumptions about the design. Potential buyers should note this. That said, it is still not a highly comfortable knife because of the serrations and square corners on the loop , plus the short overall length and pointy prybar end falling well inside my large-ish palm. It is not as comfortable as the Kershaw Rate that I bought at the same time for similar use, but the Rate does not have the multitool elements, either. The Antic opens easily with one hand, locks firmly, and otherwise feels up to Kershaw standards. I like the big belly on the blade for an all-rounder tool. It clips securely in my 5th pocket and carries easily. With my improved understanding of the best grip, I now feel confident it can fulfill my original intention for purchasing it and, with the comments about overall comfort in mind, I can recommend it for a small versatile low profile knife.

I use it daily i work for my village street dept .. it came sharp its easy to re sharp I carry it everywhere only bummer is thw Point could be a touch more aggressive otherwise its great so much so I bought one for my fiance aa a purse knife
