G10 is a man made material that is impervious to the elements and it is the strongest handle for a knife intended for use at sea. The black G10 is an excellent base for the sailor's own scrimshaw using white India ink. This knife thoughtfully links heritage with the most modern components. The Pro-grade German Marine stainless that Myerchin use is comparable to 440C for hardness and edge-holding properties with additional anti-oxidation elements added for the final crafting of their knives. The G10 handles are crafted from some of the most sought after materials for lasting beauty and rugged use. They complete their G10 handles with a non polished, easily gripped finish. Extreme strength and light weight. The Generation 2 Series features the advanced, springless locking mechanism (securely locks blade, spike, or both).
