MKMMKPT1CF: David C. Andersen Pocket Tango 1, Marbled Carbon Fiber

MKM Knives

Designed by the KnifeCenter's own David C. Andersen, the MKM Pocket Tango is your everyday dance partner, an EDC fixed blade made for convenient pocket carry.

Winner of the Best Factory Fixed Blade Award at BLADE Show West 2024!

Why carry a fixed blade instead of a folding knife? Thanks to the lack of moving parts, a fixed blade is more reliable and easier to clean than a folder. And with the inclusion of an ambidextrous leather pocket sheath with magnetic retention flap, the Pocket Tango is just as easy to carry every day.

This Nessmuk-inspired blade is crafted from MagnaCut steel for the perfect combination of a long lasting edge, durable toughness for rough work, and stainlessness so you don't have to worry about rust. By channeling this classic hunting knife shape, the Pocket Tango Muk is great for all your daily slicing needs and would make one heck of a small skinner too.

The ergonomics of this knife are simply stellar. The sculpted handles are just the right size and they lock into your hand for effortless control and the crowned spine enhances the beauty and the comfort of the grip. The downward bend to the handle allows you to utilize the compact blade more efficiently, makes the knife easier to resheath, and keeps it out of the way when you need to reach past it in your pocket.

This gem of a pocket fixed blade is ready to upgrade your everyday carry with grace, reliability, and cutting edge materials. The construction is top-notch thanks to LionSteel's involvement, and we couldn't be happier with how beautiful these knives turned out.

Impressed!
I am a Fixed-blade knife collector and own a good handful of L.T. Wright, Bark River, Lon Humphrey, and WTG blades. Out of all blade shapes available; I am most proficient and in-love with the "Nessmuk" styled-blade shape. The large belly excels at skinning. However, I find it to be a very versatile blade shape for doing camp chores/wood work, food prep, and utility. This blade has a smooth spine; so, it will not strike a ferro rod. It makes up for this with having multi-positioned finger grips built into it's handle design by allowing you to perform very small and medium cutting tasks comfortably for it's size. I wear a Small/Medium glove and this knife seems to fit my hand just right. The carbon fiber handle in person is more beautiful than the pictures. This blade has been a near-perfect apple eating knife and steak cutter so far. Frankly, I was looking if MKM made a straight Tango version (non-pocket) @ 4-5" blade length- unfortunately, no. This knife is sexy and I wanted a bigger version of it. Oh wellMy favorite feature is actually the Sheath. It has that genuine Italian Leather smell and I can wear this knife literally in any article of clothing. Looks both cool and classy how it sits in it with plenty of handle access for ease of drawl. The magnet helps with retention- but, sheath tension does that fine on it's own. At first; the magnetic strap portion slips off when drawling the blade out. As the sheath breaks in more; the less it happens (rarely happens at all now).In conclusion; I think this is tied with my LT. Wright SNH as my favorite Urban EDC Fixed-blade. Super impressed with the sheath, ergos, shape, fit-and-finish, and versatility of this small knife. David C. Anderson knows knives: both he and Italy created a Gem. I love owning this tool. Thank you DCA, MKM, and Knife Center for providing such awesomeness! Looking forward to future Nessmuk prospects that DCA and/or MKM will bring us next!

Buy with confidence
It’s everything you would expect from an Italian knife, great quality and rounded spine. It’s shave sharp out of the box. I’m new to an edc fixed blade usually opt for a fidgety folder however I find myself often rubbing the carbon fiber scales while driving for work. That’s fidgeting right? I bought the nesmuk blade because of DCA, just didn’t feel right any other way. It’s a small knife but good for edc. Nothing bad to say.
