MKMTPFDCFDRD: Bob Terzuola TPF Defense Fixed Blade - Red Dark Matter FatCarbon

MKM Maniago Knife Makers

The TPF Defense is a production collaboration between Maniago Knife Makers, or MKM, and master knifemaker Bob Terzuola. The instant you get the TPF Defense in hand, you'll know it's Bob's design. The 3.27" MagnaCut blade is slicey, sturdy, and strong. While compact enough to carry every day with ease, the handle is long enough to accommodate a full four-finger grip, and the spine jimping allows additional power on both push-cuts and traditional slicing, depending on where you place your thumb. This model features a dark stonewashed blade finish and thick milled red Dark Matter FatCarbon handle slabs.

With the included sheath, symmetry, and size, the TPF Defense works perfectly in either hand, as everything about this product was designed with ambidextrous carry in mind. While the included leather sheath is only suitable for vertical belt carry, we're positive that you'll love this versatile fixed blade.

TPF Defense
A really good design for pocket carry. Small enough, and in the pocket should not scare people like a scabbard on the belt. The magnetic sheath is really neat. I like the lines and the look of the blade. One complaint and a small one is the sheath needs to be taken from the pocket to get the knife out, but I am not planning on a knife fight any time soon. The sheath may loosen over time. I liked the micarta handled one so much I ordered another in the red carbon fiber with the black blade. The jimping located on the handle is un-needed, and might present a problem to keep clean, however I like it on the blade. This would make a dandy utility knife for food prep, meat processing and light use around the camp. Light and useful. I will probably order the kydex sheath next. Just for info I used knives in my profession for 30 years, so take my review for what its worth. I have definite preferences however that might not align with others. After having 3 incidents where a folder has closed and cut me, I have a preference for fixed blades.
