Great knife. Paid a little more for it at the store but still a great knife for the price. Stainless steel blade means no rusting.

Opinel
The Opinel N09 is the first of their "large" knives with a full-size 3.5" blade. Stabilized beechwood is ultra resistant and comfortably contoured to fit the hand. The blade is made from 12C27 Sandvik Stainless steel, which will not rust, however try to avoid leaving your Opinel knife in damp environments for too long and dry the blade after each use. This is a very large knife - please review its size before considering it.
Safety
- This knife features the Virobloc Safety ring. The Virobloc safety ring was invented and implemented in 1955. This simple yet effective locking system greatly improved the original knife. The ability to help prevent the blade from opening when closed was added to the Virobloc in 2000.
