The Opinel N02 is their smallest model and does not feature the Virobloc safety ring. This tiny knife is commonly used to perform small tasks such as opening letters or cutting papers. Stabilized beechwood is ultra resistant and comfortably contoured to fit the hand. The blade is made from X90 Carbon steel, with a high carbon content, which is what makes it possible to achieve the excellent hardness after heat treatment, guaranteeing the strength of the cutting edge, resistance to wear and ease of sharpening. However, carbon has a low resistance to corrosion caused by moisture, which means that certain precautionary measures are necessary when using and storing a carbon knives: we recommend that you avoid damp environments and that you dry the blade after each use. This is a very small knife - please review its size before considering it.
