PMPGRIZFLM: Grizzly Folding Knife - Flamed

PMP Knives

The Grizzly is an absolute monster of a knife yet its size, thickness, and weight do not impede the smooth action in any way. We'd be lying if we didn't see the design similarities to the Medford Praetorian, and what makes that knife such a great tactical tool also makes the Grizzly one as well. And then you add in the smooth flipping action that is aided by the weight of the blade and you have something magical. This knife is unlike any other and a great heavy-duty folder for you to use and abuse. It has an excellent profile for all sorts of tasks; a thick blade with a reinforced tip that can definitely do more than cut and an ergonomic handle that is large enough for gloved hands. It also features a glass breaker/skull crusher butt end, lanyard slot, and replaceable lockbar insert so the lockup is perfect right out of the pouch. It's a knife we were wary of when we first saw it but once we got it in our hands, our minds were completely changed. The Grizzly is worthy of your consideration if you need a knife that will not fail you, period. Limited production of only 200 individually numbered pieces.

Wow
So I have a couple of Medford knives and am waiting on a Praetorian Ti to be finished. I saw a picture of the PMP Grizzly and after reading the description just had to order one (much to my wife's chagrin). It arrived 2 days after I clicked on it, and I haven't put it down since. It is a beast but a little lighter than you'd think. I've had it for 3 days, don't have any 'heavy' work to do so I haven't roughed it up. But it sure will open your mail. It is quite sharp; unexpectedly detailed; gorgeous handles (I got the flamed one) and a blade angled and chiseled for having good old fashioned fun. Also a wicked sharp skull basher that I'm sure would also take out your sliding glass doors if you're not careful. Not mentioned in the write-up but it comes with a metal card that gives the knife specs in a humorous way (such as 'Blade width: thick'). I think the blade must be a quarter inch wide slab of D2.so...not the same as a Medford, but Medford-like -- it has its own personality and just as enjoyable. It is overbuilt but way underpriced--not kidding about that. I'm surprised KC still has any left -- once the word gets out they'll be gone in a heartbeat. 10 out of 10 on this one :)
