The Half Track is the next compact powerhouse flipper from Rick Hinderer Knives. It made its debut to the world at the 2016 BLADE Show in Atlanta in handmade form by Rick himself. Now, the production version is available and we cannot find many, if any, criticisms to level against it. The Half Track is broad and beefy, yet remarkably slim in the pocket and in the hand. It is indeed a departure from the XM series in terms of design, but it functions just as good as your trusty XM!

The Half Track features a 2.75" reverse tanto blade with thumb ramp jimping and a sharpening choil. It is of course made from CPM-S35VN stainless steel with a working finish and is flat ground for additional durability. The handle is made from blue anodized titanium with a milled blue/black G10 face scale. It provides a wonderfully ergonomic three finger grip though smaller hands can fit four on without issue. The Half Track is a stylish, robust EDC knife from Rick and we think it's a great option for those looking for a compact carry knife that can handle extremely heavy duty cutting tasks.
