The DPx HEST/F 4.0 series is the latest evolution of the folding knife line. The Micarta model is the first production option featuring Micarta, and the first flipper to offer Micarta. The stonewashed, Magnacut blade is mated to a stonewashed, U.S.-made, titanium alloy frame with an OD Green canvas Micarta scale assembled by the craftsmen at LionSTEEL in Northern Italy.
The HEST/F 4.0 Micarta includes classic features such as a tungsten carbide glass breaker, a reversible pocket clip that adds additional strength to the lock bar, and more.

Old School New School Bruiser
The blade shape, thickness and ergonomics of the classic HEST folder design are unmatched. Micarta makes it grippy and Magnacut makes it slice. The new flipper puts this into the "feels like a hand made custom" category I like the practical side. Glass breaker/skull crusher, hex drive and rapid opening (as well as thumb studs)You can tell the designer (RYP) went through every aspect of the design and knife to make it a grail EDC. And a great price. Sold!
