The Typhoon was Brian's signature model and one of the coolest folding knives we ever carried but it was a pretty large boy with its four-inch blade. It was available in a variety of different blade shapes and handle patterns so there's sure to be one out there that fits your personal style but the size wasn't exactly for everyone. The Tempest soon followed, possessing the same tactical prowess as the Typhoon but with a more ergonomic handle, in our opinion. Brian, being the crowd-pleaser that he is, decided the time was right for a front flipper model in a production variety so it's available to more of his following and sized with everyday carry in mind.

The Mini Tempest is the ideal everyday carry knife. Its size is perfect to disappear in the pocket yet it can easily and effectively transition into a tactical blade should the need arise. The three-and-a-half-inch blade is made from Bohler M390 stainless steel with a perfectly executed extended front flipper tab and excellent jimping on the spine. The handle and integral backspacer are made from 6Al4V titanium with various inlays and excellent contouring for a comfortable hold. The knife features a replaceable lockbar insert with an integrated detent knub, a sculpted titanium pocket clip, and stainless steel thrust bearings. The action on this knife is absolutely out of this world, the ergonomics are fantastic, and the size more than adequate. Score one while they last!
