D2 is a semi-stainless tool steel that exhibits excellent characteristics as a blade steel. This air-hardened steel is more corrosion resistant than other high carbon steels due to its high chromium content and offers a good mix of toughness, wear resistance, and edge holding ability.
The satin finish is one of the most effective and brutal metal treatments available. The blade surface is covered with small unidirectional strokes forming a uniform pattern. The blade has a matte finish but reflects direct sunlight. An added benefit is that most minor wear and scratches from regular use are unnoticeable with the satin finish.
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
Aluminum Handles
A solid, lightweight material that can be molded, textured or anodized to provide better grip under extreme conditions.
D2 Tool Steel
This semi-stainless tool steel offers great value, thanks to a high degree of edge retention that can often rival more expensive steels.

Not bad
I ended up giving this to my wife because it isn't enough of a hard use knife, and I would probably break it. It's comfortable in hand and small in the pocket. The thumb disk works well, but had sharp edges out of the box. A few minutes with some 1000 grit sandpaper fixed that.
