SMGF25M14: Modus Mini, Gray FRN

Steel Will Knives

The same eye-catching design in a smaller package. The Modus Mini folding knife is a scaled-down version of one of Steel Will's most popular knives. Capable of tackling any work that is required of an EDC knife, the Modus Mini features exceptional ergonomics hands and a small form factor for comfortable carry. The Modus Mini is available in several colors.

D2 Steel

D2 is a semi-stainless tool steel that exhibits excellent characteristics as a blade steel. This air-hardened steel is more corrosion resistant than other high carbon steels due to its high chromium content and offers a good mix of toughness, wear resistance, and edge holding ability.

Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon

Lightweight material that is durable, resistant to water, and easy to clean. FRN handle scales may be molded with complex shapes and textures to improve ergonomics and slip resistance.

Absolute Winner Budget EDC
The other reviewers have pretty much summed it up. I've been carrying this pocket knife for a few months now and I just love it. Perfect blade shape and size for me. At this price, you can't lose. It would be awesome if they upgraded the blade steel and handle material in this knife for a more premium version.

Sharp lightweight flipper w/ great ergos
This was at first a disappointment because I thought I was getting a full-size Modus and I wanted the blackwash version in addition to the satin finish I already owned. However, this little sweetie quickly proved it's worth as a capable sub-3" knife and has become my Sunday carry. It has one of my favorite edc bladeshapes ever, having a fairly thin kerf and deep belly with an unsnappable tip that allows duties that range from slicing a peach to gapping a sparkplug. My only ding is for the handle material, I just don't like frn.

Right size work knife
Have had this knife for a little over a week now. The workmanship is great. Flips out flash quick with little noise It was sharp out of the box a quick strop (as previously mentioned) evened it up and it is performing beautifully The satin finish is even and quite attractive, flat ground down to the edge boxes, the steel liners are skeletonized keeping it light and thin Packing bands, yard work all fall easily. It is a little bluer than the picture, I prefer a thong hole to pocket clips and it has that. D-2 while not one of the new hy-performance steels is also not expensive and holds up quite well as I have several other knives with this steel. A caution it can rust so a light coat of some of your favorite oil is advised. This knife is a great replacement for a Dozier (forgive my blasphemy) I've owned several of them and this is just a better knife even the new models that are D-2. Last I find the texture on the scales a nonissue matter of personal choice.
