Description

SP106SYL2: C106SYL2 Tasman Salt 2 Yellow

Spyderco

Hawkbill blades are uniquely functional cutting tools because they "capture" the material being cut, drawing it into the concave edge to generate powerful, focusing cutting power. The original Tasman Salt combined this aggressive cutting dynamic with the ultra-corrosion-resistant qualities of nitrogen-based H-1 steel to create a near-perfect tool for cutting netting, line, and other fibrous materials. The Tasman 2 takes another significant step forward with an improved handle design based on the best-selling Delica 4. Injection molded from tough yellow or black FRN, the Tasman 2's handle features improved ergonomics, a non-slip Bi-Directional Texturing pattern, and a four-position titanium pocket clip. Its handle is still home to a solid back lock mechanism that securely locks the PlainEdge or SpyderEdge blade when in use.

In early 2023, Spyderco announced a rolling change for their Salt series. Originally produced in H1 stainless steel, the Salt series is being transitioned to H2 stainless steel which provides increased corrosion resistance. The original H1 version may still be shipping. If you have a specific steel preference, please include a note in the comments section at checkout for which steel you prefer. If we do not have the steel you prefer on hand, we'll contact you, otherwise, we'll email you the tracking number once your order ships.*

Nice
Very nice. Light weight and can be used in the garden, on my kayak and in any wet situation and I don't need to worry about it and can just hose it off if needed. Handle very grippy and can open one handed easily with thumb hole

BEST Pocket Knife
I've carried this knife for about 10 years now. I replaced it (lost) 3x now. All sorts of features, but what I like best: an easy carry - don't even know it's there, sharp and stays sharp, wicked looking, yellow handles makes it easy to find.

Spyderco Tasman Salt 2
This my second Tasman Salt. I gave up my Salt 1 to enter the hospital emergency room, as I thought my wife was having a heart attack. Thank goodness she was ok. After living without my Tasman Salt 1 for a while, No knife I used was as good for cutting boxes down. A lot of power to cut for a small knife. I ordered a new Tasman Salt, but it came with an improved handle. I had no issues with the old handle ,but the new handle feels more comfortable, It is much easier to hold without slipping, making it better when wet. So despite the price, I bought another Tasman Salt. This knife does not lose it’s value, I would have used The old knife for years. Easy to open and close. Very sharp, not a knife to fool around with.
