Description

SP10ZFPGR: Endura Flat Ground Zome Green

Spyderco

The Spyderco Endura 4 is one of their most enduring designs, and for good reason. With comfortable ergos, a capable blade, and multiple options for easy carry, the Endura has inspired many imitators over the years. Now with hand-dyed Zome-style (pronounced "zoh-may") Camo handle scales, this special edition here at KnifeCenter backs up performance with one-of-a-kind style and is sure to become a collectible.

Inspired by traditional Japanese hiki-zome (brush dyeing) techniques, the FRN handles are molded in a light base color and then individually hand dyed by expert Japanese artisans. No two of these knives are alike. Various colors of dye are hand brushed onto the handle to create distinctive patterns. These dyes completely permeate and permanently color the FRN.

These special handles are backed up by the classic Endura platform. Slim and easily pocketable, bi-directional texturing on the FRN scales ensures a solid grip even in the worst of conditions. The Delica also allows for nearly any carry preference: a four-position stainless pocket clip allows for carry on the left or right side, in tip-up or tip-down configurations.

The blade itself is made from VG-10, ensuring a long-lasting edge, and sports a full flat grind for excellent slicing capability. Straddling the line between a drop point and a modified-Wharncliffe shape, this blade lends itself well to all manner of everyday needs. Jimping along the integrated thumb ramp helps with fine control and allows you to really take advantage of the fine tip. A strong lock back keeps the blade open and is equipped with a Boye-dent to avoid accidental closure.

Still the best
Very cool handle colors, got a great deal on the black Friday sale. Great fit and finish, razor sharp factory edge with nice and even edge grind. Rather steep grind on this one which I like. Good blade centering. Always nice to have another endura in case one gets lost or damaged

I would give 5 stars, but there is a small flam. When folded, the blade is not centered.

Good tool, too expensive
This is an excellent product however given the material choices and construction overall its way too expensive. This does not feel like a 100 dollar knife. This feels like a 50 dollar knife. Your paying for a brand name. Your paying for being part of the Spyderco club. If thats worth it to you then this is a great kife. If all you need is a functional tool then get the Byrd equivalent.
