The Stretch 2 is the result of a long evolutionary process that began in 1983 with Spyderco's original C03 Hunter model. Based on feedback from the many hunters who use Spyderco knives in the field, the Stretch 2 features a longer handle for increased leverage, refined ergonomics to reduce fatigue during prolonged use, and a deeper index-finger choil for an enhanced purchase with a "choked up" grip. These refinements are incorporated into its full-flat-ground VG10 stainless steel blade and its Bi-Directional Textured injection-molded black FRN handle to yield a highly refined folding knife that is ready for the toughest challenges. A four-position clip, well-built back lock mechanism, and easily accessible Trademark Round Hole also make it both right and left-hand friendly.

Great knife. Very solid lockup while still remaining light weight. The blade shape is a little unusual but grows on you quickly after you use it a few times. Love the fact that you can carry it tip down. Very sharp and easy to resharpen
Great knife, with me everyday. Good steel, easy to sharpen with decent edge retention. Once you have it in your hand, it’s locked in. Love the forward finger choil, does all I need as an EDC knife. Ain't the best-looker but I love my ugly duckling.
The only complaint I have is the blade gets loose after a number of openings. I may use some super glue so it won't come loose. I have never had to clean it since I got it 5 years ago.
