More than meets the eye
NZ's Svord brand doesn't mess about; keeping the gimmicks down to a minimum, not fooling around with a dozen different stainless steels, not wasting time building bizarre and ridiculous blades that just look silly. Svord picks its premium carbon steel, heat treats it and grinds it for maximum utility, weights their knives with solid tang and just the right balance point, delivers with a full-protective leather sheath...that is, they know exactly what makes a knife great, and put all their focus on making those details shine. If you're afraid of keeping hard steel clean and oiled, or coated with Tuff Cloth, then yeah you're going to end up with a whole lot more than just a patina problem, but apart from that scenario--if you aren't too lazy to wipe the blade down for ten seconds--you're going to end up with a all-round cutter/slicer/hacker/skinner/just-what-you-need tool that just works and works and works. Svord are professionals; they know what to do and they just do it just right.
