Fallkniven

The Fallkniven X-knife is one of the strongest and sharpest stainless steel knives in production. If your life is in danger, you can always rely on your X-knife. It is designed to withstand all the stresses applied by the human hand, which means that it is virtually indestructible. It assumes, however, that you are careful with the knife and that it is used as intended, namely as a sharp precision tool. A knife of this kind is of course not a throwing knife, nor is it particularly good at splitting wood – for those functions, you'll find an axe to be both better and cheaper. The black coating on the blade offers exceptional resilience with a hardness of 83HRC, giving this knife increased longevity.

The basis of the X-knife's strength lies in the laminated cobalt steel, and also in the well-thought-out construction in which break zones have been eliminated. Together with the hand-shaped convex edge, the X-knife is a concept that beats everything else in the world in terms of safety and comfort.

BEAST
It's big, it's heavy, it's SOLID. You could likely use it as a pry bar, the spine is quite thick. The scales match nicely. Wish they would have other options.Built like something made to last a literal lifetime. Yes, it's pricey, but it's one of the best survival knives I've seen.And the "snap in" sheath with lock is a great addition. Also built like you could drop it in a mud puddle and just rinse it off and use.

if I only had to pick one
If I only had to pick one this would make the group to think over handle is really grippy coating is strong only thing I’ve had issues with was a rattly sheath but was able to fix it

IT'S A BEAUTY
My words to Thomas (at Fallkniven) included the above. I had contacted Fallkniven, as my knife would NOT come lose from the sheath, even when the lock selector ws moved to the reaar, and Thomas was very helpful. When I finally removed the knife from the sheath (which seems to be the issue, we were both happy, I because my A1xb is everything I hoped it would be; and he, I aas, because he, because he had assisted a customer. T-- he knife itself is typical Fallkniven-- solid, and built simply to do the job, regardless of the job. A new (and corrected) sheath is on the way, and I remain thrilled, both with Fallkniven, and with Knife Center.
