Great looking but the handle sucks.
My Comments• This is a large size, Full grip length, thin handle fixed blade survival knife. It is very thin in the hand. Semi-rough blade edge grind could be better done.• The flat sided Canvas Micarta handle scales feature TOPS heavily sculpted Rocky Mountain scalloped texturizing cuts (without the center eye spots) which are extremely grippy. The rear corner tips of the finger choil and Birds Beak pommel are quite pointy and painful in use. These two points are quite painful if gripped hard and should have been eliminated. A fine mill file stroke will break the pointed tip of the scales. The 0.500” wide (thin) scales have rounded front bevels which can serve as Pinch Grip bevels. Scales have an overall rectangle, flat sided profile feel (no side to side palm swell contours) with a moderate Coke bottle belly along the lower edge. While I really like the looks of the handle, it is painful to grip very tight when using the knife hard. I knew they would be when I first saw this knife.• The Canvas Micarta scales are very grippy even when wet.• Clip Point style blade with a centerline tip point for great self-defense and slicing tasks.• Tan Kydex sheath provides very secure static knife retention even without using the rubber retaining strap. Sheath features a one direction release ‘Pull-the-Dot’ type button snap. This is a great Kydex sheath. TOPS leather sheaths suck due to being oiled way too much which foul the micarta handles. No more TOPS leather sheaths for me. • Coarse thumb jimping on spine is effective and grippy.
