Learn More About the Viper Turn

Designed by Fabrizio Silvestrelli, the Viper Turn combines the security of a traditional lockback with the ultra-smooth, bearing-driven deployment of a modern folder. This Italian-made series stands out for its premium materials, exceptional fit and finish, and highly functional geometry.

What steel and blade shape does the Viper Turn use?
The Viper Turn features a 3.23-inch clip point blade made from premium Bohler M390 stainless steel. The blade is ground with a high flat grind and a full-length swedge, offering a versatile shape with a slight downward angle from the handle to optimize slicing performance.
What pocket clip or sheath options come with the Viper Turn?
The carry method of the Viper Turn depends on the specific handle variant you choose. Models featuring G10, Micarta, or carbon fiber scales generally come equipped with a right-side, deep-carry pocket clip. Wood-scaled versions, such as the walnut option, exclude the pocket clip and instead include a premium leather slip sheath designed for both vertical and horizontal belt carry.
What locking mechanism does the Viper Turn use?
The Viper Turn utilizes a mid-mounted lockback mechanism. Unlike traditional lockbacks that can feel stiff to operate, the Turn incorporates ball bearings in the pivot to deliver an incredibly smooth path of travel, allowing the blade to be easily flicked open or closed with one hand using the dual thumb studs.
What handle materials are available in the Viper Turn series?
The Viper Turn series is built on contoured titanium handles with integrated titanium bolsters, paired with a variety of scale materials. Available scale options include walnut wood, rugged canvas Micarta, durable G10, and high-end carbon fibers like red lava or copper dark matter.
What design details highlight the craftsmanship of the Viper Turn?
The Viper Turn showcases premium Italian manufacturing through its crowned edges along the back spacer and spine, providing a smooth, comfortable feel in the hand. Additionally, the jimping is finely bisected between the blade and the back spring, creating a seam so precise that it is nearly invisible to the naked eye.
