The Turn Essential by Fabrizio Silvestrelli is a folding knife with an advanced lockback system blending tradition, practicality, and modern construction technologies. The Essential line takes the loved design of the original Turn and provides slight tweaks while not sacrificing quality or performance. It is one of the few lockback designs to use ball bearings, ensuring a smooth and fluid rotation of the blade. The blade is Bohler M390 stainless steel with high bevels and a bold counter-bevel. The handles consist of G10, Micarta (this model), or carbon fiber, all of which sit of stainless steel liners. The Turn combines classic styling with a ton of modern features that make it a force to be reckoned with for your hard-earned dollars.
Micarta Handles
Micarta is a compressed layered composite sealed within a thermosetting plastic which creates a strong, attractive material that is impervious to water.
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
M390
A go-to option for premium knives. Made by Bohler-Uddeholm, this 3rd generation powder-metal alloy offers high edge retention and excellent stainless properties.
Lockback
The lockback system has been used for many decades. It can usually be found on the knife spine and it provides a strong lockup that will wear well.

Second in the Turn family and it won't be the last.
I have a fancy carbon fiber handle Turn, the KC green exclusive, and that is my go-to-fancy knife. I liked that knife so much, I needed a working version. Love it just as much, just not worried about scratching the handles or titanium.I really like this lock. You can open and close one handed. If you have have strong enough hands to operate the lock one handed, it can even be a bit fidgety… Blade geometry rocks, the steel is awesome, and I have two now and will probably buy one or two more before it is all said and done. I am the type of guy who buys knives for different experiences (different locks, different steels, different geometries, etc.) but I like this knife and the Viper Hug well enough to have multiples of each.
