Jason Guthrie (JG) Custom Knives
Jason Guthrie was born and raised in the South African wilderness. Growing up in the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time in the “Bush”, having a knife on his person in these environments has always been very important to him. Cutting line, gutting fish, preparing foods in the wilderness, or slicing a good rump steak on the fire always requires a good knife! In 2014, he decided to make knives as a hobbyist. His goal was to make something as practical and useful as the Spyderco Military, and the Ranger was the result. Knives became his full-time profession shortly after the Ranger hit the market and he is constantly trying to improve the Ranger, with new systems, procedures and lock up mechanisms.
