The Coho Fillet Knife at 13 inches overall is three inches longer than its smaller cousin, the Steelheader Fillet Knife. Designed for medium and larger sized fish, the Coho sports a semi-flexible 8.125 inch cutting edge. Flat ground and razor sharp, your fish will fillet beautifully with this knife. The full tang handle construction is double riveted with a brass lanyard sleeve that makes handle shift impossible. The contoured Santoprene SureGrip handles provide a comfortable and positive grip.

Very Good Knife

I bought one of these 6 years ago and use it to clean King, Coho salmon and Steelhead caught on Lake Ontario and Tributaries. I do like this knife as It holds a decent edge and the handle makes the knife balanced and comfortable to use. I wish however the blade had a little more meat on it. When cleaning a big fish 20+ pounds it is a little lite. Also the sheath is a little cheep for the price.

Best Fillet Knife!

I guide in Alaska for salmon. I fillet 30-60 fish a day everyday for 3 months. I got this knife in 2009 and I still use the same original one I bought 10 years later. I do a good sharpening once a year, and hone it daily while I use it.

Fantastic

Use this knife for filleting steelhead,King salmon aka Chinook,coho & walleye fishing the great lakes. It keeps it's edge really good & are super sharp. I bought the combo with the knives of Alaska Coho here & the steal header which is 6 inches long. Interesting this is both made of same steel 440C but the longer blade the one here is more flexible & the steelheader is a bit more stiff. Both are fantastic. If you do not want to sharpen your own then send it to Knives of Alaska they will sharpen it for you send it back (will take about 3 weeks). Sheath could be a bit better is only complaint.
