CIVC2023C: C2023C Brazen Tanto Folding Knife, Black

CIVIVI Knives

WE Knife Company has been around the game for a long time but has only recently begun manufacturing their own designs. They started by manufacturing OEM designs for other companies and have gained a reputation in the industry as a name you can rely on. Their products are innovative, beautiful, and extremely well-built so you can rest assured you're getting a supreme quality product at a great price. Brazen is the perfect name for this bold tactical folder. Like the Keen Nader, this in-house design is here to compete and maybe take over the tactical folding knife market. Add in the value this guy presents and you have a clear winner in our books.

The first and most recognizable part of this design is the D2 tanto blade. It's big, it's broad, and it's flat ground for toughness. The action is very pleasing as the size of the blade, the detent, and the caged ceramic bearings make it buttery smooth using the studs or flipper tab. This tab acts as a finger guard preventing you from accidentally sliding forward onto the blade when trusting or stabbing. The ergonomic handle has a solid feel provided by the stainless steel liners and we don't think it gets any more comfortable than this. Add in a reversible deep carry pocket clip and backspacer with lanyard slot built-in and you have a tactical knife built for anyone. Finally, it's priced for everyone and each variant might just be cooler than the last.

Better than your average CIVIVI
Pros: hand feel, good steel for the $$, looks. A sweet knife for the $$.Cons: noneIt's a semi tactical knife but really at the end of the day just a really good EDC & not a true "tactical" knife. Enjoy it for what it is & know you bought a good knife for a great price!

A practical tactical
Great Tanto tip & blade design. I like the bit of upsweep of the belly instead of a straight flat line. A good example of CIVIVI quality at a very real world price. Fit & finish with a much appreciated lack of blade billboarding. Some contoured scales would knock this one out of the park but I'm not complaining.

Tactical meets Practical
This is a SLICK knife. Especially in this color. The finish on the G10 scales is nice, better than many other G10 knives I have. Deployment is like butter. It cuts well on both edges and and holds the edge well. The fit/feel of the handle is one of the best among any knife I own. This knife also corrects (to me) an issue with a lot of American Tanto style blades; rather than being like a chisel, it drops the point and pushes it forward more aggressively. Probably not as good for stabbing car doors, but better for piercing other things. Has a good deep carry pocket clip. This is a great medium size/weight EDC. Like most Civivis it's also minimalist on sticking branding all over the knife, unlike say CRKT or Kershaw. It's pretty enough to feel almost gentlemanly despite being a blacked out tanto. Good deal on a good knife.
