CJBJ1915CF: Kicker Folding Knife - Carbon Fiber

CJRB Cutlery

The Kicker from CJRB is the next EDC knife that will take the industry by storm, mark our words. It is an absolutely fantastic design in each and every way with a price point well below its quality level. It is the first CJRB knife to features their own Recoil-Lock and what an enjoyable lock to use this is. The Recoil-Lock is similar to an AXIS or cage ball lock in its intuitive and ambidextrous functionality and it also launches the blade out so you can wrist flick it no problem. Add in the attractive blade and handle shapes and perfect 3.5-ish-inch blade length you've got a knife that most if not all jobs you require. The reverse tanto blade shape is excellent in that it provides a reinforced tip for stabbing and belly for slicing; the best of both worlds. It rides ultra-smoothly on ceramic bearings and the tip-up pocket clip is reversible for left-hand carry making this knife completely ambidextrous. The Kicker will be a knife you choose to carry over others that may cost more because it just works, and works darn well.

This knife is now being produced with AR-RPM9 steel, however, the original D2 version may still be shipping. If you have a specific steel preference, please include a note in the comments section at checkout for which steel you prefer. If we do not have the steel you prefer on hand, we'll contact you, otherwise, we'll email you the tracking number once your order ships.*

Pros: Ease of Opening, Pocket Clip, Blade Material, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
My new, go to beater knife
It took a little while to get used to closing this without pinching myself with the recoil finger biter, but once I got the hang of it, it quickly became my go to beater. The D2 steel takes and holds an outstanding edge. The blade profile is thick, but the high grind is slicey enough for everything short of tomato cutting. And unless you are using it to open paint cans, this isn't a tip you are ever going to be afraid of breaking off. It isn't winning many beauty contests, but for under $50, it is both super capable of doing the nasty tasks and not so dear that you will baby it like you would something made of S35vn or CPM 20CV.
