If you're a fan of big knives, the Manix 2 XL is the knife for you. It boasts all the same qualities as the Manix 2, but in an extra-large-sized format that is perfect for big hands and big cutting chores. Its CPM S30V blade has a full flat grind for the ideal synthesis of strength and edge geometry. This Manix 2 XL has a non-reflective Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) blade coating with matching blackened hardware, and clip with skeletonized liners. Both feature a black polymer cage in the ball bearing lock mechanism.
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
G10 Handles
Formed in a sheet under high pressure by combining fiberglass and an epoxy resin binder. These handles are lightweight and shaped to ensure a solid grip.
S30V Stainless Steel
This incredibly popular stainless steel is one of the first powder-metal alloys developed specifically for use in cutlery. Thanks to its ability to hold an edge it remains a performance benchmark.

I have a LOT of pocket knives. Maybe hundreds. But because my thumbnails are now weak and splitting, I need something doesn't require a thumbnail to open. Spyderco fills the bill. I've been carrying a Manix 2 around the house for years. It was my favorite, until I got the Manix 2 XL. Wow! It's like the Manix 2, only more so. If our local knife laws allowed blades longer than 3 inches, this would be my all-the-time, everywhere EDC. I'm very fussy about blade sharpness, and this knife was hair-flicking sharp right out of the box. (That didn't stop me from trying to make it even better because, well, I just had to. Sharpening is meditational.)

I had been undecided about the Spyderco Manix 2 XL or the Sog Seal XR but after reading many reviews about both the Spyderco was always better. This is my 1st Spyderco and I could not be more pleased. I am a lover of axis lock folders and have many, at least 10 Benchmades and probably 20 less expensive brands. This is my new favorite. Also Thank You Knife Center for your excellent service and the excellent videos posted on YouTube every Thursday, DCR knows his stuff when it comes to knives, you guys are simply the best!
