When looking for an EDC knife, one of the most important considerations is accessibility to bring the knife to bear quickly. The Pyrite uses a combination of its button lock mechanism with ceramic ball bearings in the pivot to make this knife quick to deploy and always ready in hand. The smooth action allows the blade to be flicked open with one hand with a press of the button lock or a flick of the thumb studs. This knife can easily double as a fidget toy with how fun it is to use. The blade is made from AR-RPM9, a proprietary steel that compares to D2 steel with an advantage in corrosion resistance. The handles are comfortable to hold and fit well in the hand thanks to its gentle curve and bevel designed to accommodate the index finger. This version of the Pyrite comes with a rose gold blade and hardware, a black stainless steel handle, and a pocket clip that allows it to be discreetly carried with you wherever you may go.

attention copper lovers
Have collected knives/blades of all configurations and dimensions since I was 7 (am now 74). Recently attracted to copper. But although this rose gold pyrite is not copper, I added a couple of copper beads to a leather thong and it was MAGIC! The blade is super sharp out of the box (came with a case&cloth). The Bowie style is extra useful. The push button release is instantaneously smooth and easy in both directions. The pocket clip is discrete and secure if you don't always use the case. While I appreciate all my many blades for different reasons, this will be a favorite EDC, not a "safe queen" for a long time.
