Alexey Konygin is one of the most prolific designers and custom knifemakers anywhere in the world but does not get nearly the recognition he deserves...in this country at least. If you look at our Custom Knife Factory page, everything on there at the time we received this knife was designed by Alexey, and there are countless designs that have come and gone before these. One of his most recognizable knives is the Decepticon, which also happened to be the knife that put CKF on the map. It was a knife before its time which combined a multi-layered titanium handle with a unique blade shape that any knife collector would dream of owning. What we have here is a handmade custom Decepticon model hand-delivered to Virginia by Alexey himself. He came by with Mike Kulygin right after the blade show and this was the only piece he had left after three days in Atlanta. It features a compound ground CTS-204P stainless steel blade, contoured layered titanium handles, and custom brass hardware. The weight and ergonomics are fantastic for such a large knife and the flipping action is absolutely godly.
