CN500366: Knulujulu Knife

Condor Tool & Knife

The Knulujulu is a very unique design that is a collaboration with Condor engineer Jorge Umana and in-house designer Joe Flowers. You can see the roots of this blade as an Alaskan Ulu but it morphed into something completely different. This camp knife works in the Hunt camp as a kitchen knife, a camp knife, and tool that can butcher large animals. The ergonomic walnut wood handle makes this blade good for choking up, but the relatively thin 440C Stainless Steel blade makes it a slicer just like the camping knives of the old frontiersmen. It's a do-it-all, old school kind of design and includes a handcrafted welted leather sheath.

Designed by Joe Flowers

Joe Flowers is responsible for many of the interesting blade designs throughout the Condor product line. Joe writes for a myriad of magazines and publications, and contributes regularly to the outdoor community, concentrating in woodcraft and primitive living. His knowledge of outdoor gear led to consulting on equipment design and function for many companies. Joe holds a degree in Zoology with a minor in Entomology and researches heavily into all things outdoors. Joe Flowers teaches fitness, martial arts, organizes youth camps, and hosts outdoor skills and survival classes around the US. Joe is an avid naturalist, hunter, fisherman, herpetologist, videographer, beekeeper, knife thrower, guide, and regularly travels internationally in search of knife knowledge and unique animals. You can find Condor on Joe's side when he is deep in the Amazonian rainforest, or high in the deserts of Utah.

Pros: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness, Finish, Handle Material, Materials, Overall Quality, Sheath/Scabbard
Cons: None
Beautiful.
Some kind of "compromise". Ulu? No. Almost a bolo, mini kurkuri. No.Really nice wood handle and I guess like an Alaskan skinner? More than 6 1/2" but doesn't feel big.Steel is stainless, blade is sharp. Don't exactly like how it feels as if my hand would run up on the blade if I was stabbing something. There's no guard at all on the bottom of the knife and the handle is smooth and not very thick.Sheath is one of Condor's better ones, and that is saying alot. It is VERY nice.Very nice package. Really seems like it misses the mark on multiple levels, but it sure is pretty.
