Few names in knifemaking command as much reverence as Michael Walker. The jeweler-turned-knifemaker is a true master of his craft, known for his artistic and ornate designs that transcend the usual definition of a knife. The Monument is based on one of Michael's custom designs that saw fewer than half a dozen iterations make it into the wild. The name comes from the many monuments in and around his hometown of Taos, New Mexico, but it serves a double meaning as a monument to knifemaking achievement. Made in Italy to the highest standards, no detail has been overlooked, from the pinstripes on the pocket clip to the Damasteel Bluetongue pattern on the pivot.

It is just beautiful
This knife was as beautiful as DCA made it sound. I open lots of boxes but I am not sure that I will use this beauty to do that. It is very sharp out of the box and is centered nicely. The handle materials are very grippy and a very nice blue color. The wheel in the pocket clip will be gentle on jeans pocket. I believe it was worth every dollar I paid.
