Description
CR6130: 6130 Jettison Folding Knife by Robert Carter
CRKT

A sleek and powerful knife with a mighty heritage.

The designer of the Jettison comes from a long line of knife craftsmen. With a razor-sharp blade and frame lock, this everyday carry knife stands up to its lineage and stands apart in a new league of its own.

Robert Carter is an up-and-coming knife designer from Hillister, Texas. He spent years learning the knife making traditions of his father, Joe Pardue and grandfather, Mel Pardue. Later, he wanted to design a folder substantial enough for a big task, and sleek enough to live in a pocket. So he created the mighty Jettison.

This distinctive looking folder holds its own with a 3.260" modified sheepsfoot blade that's ideal for everyday tasks in the shop, home, or wherever a job calls out for you. Just reach into your pocket, grab the smooth stonewash stainless steel handle and put the Jettison to work. Its frame lock will secure the blade when open and ensure you are good to go.

When you've got a big job to do, the Jettison is up for the challenge.

Good
It's come in handy and since I'm cursed with girly hands, I like how it fits. Very easy to maneuver and take care of.

Really Good!
GREAT knife! Love the blade shape. The Chinese steel is really better than any others similarly priced. ONLY change I would like is a larger handle. For a folding knife, I always prefer "flippers" for ease of one-handed operation.

Pretty Good Knife For The Money.
Love the Modified Sheepsfoot blade, That's what first attracted me to this knife. I think a sheepsfoot is probably one of the most useful blade shapes you can get, and with the sharper than normal point, for a sheepsfoot, it may be even more useful. Good sharp blade out of the box. Handles are a little slick in my hands, but I was expecting that, so I can't hold that against it. Smooth handles are usually a little slick. Good early lock up, and no blade play whatsoever. Might like to have had a little jimping on the spine and a thumb stud, but with the blade shape it might have been hard to get it where you could actually use it. Could use a little stronger detent to build up more energy, but it still flips open well if you push button it. On mine, if you try to light switch it, it will open solidly about half the the time. Looks like it has Teflon washers on the pivot, which is okay by me at this price point. I've had knives with Teflon washers that lasted a long time. Overall, I'd say i really like this knife. Probably won't carry it much because of the handle slickness, but it's fun to play with and I love the way it looks, which is the biggest reason I bought it. Nothing wrong in my opinion with buying a knife just because you like the way it looks. I mean it's my money, right? Thanks to Knife Center for another great knife and their outstanding service.
