The Crossbones is an extremely versatile everyday carry knife for cutting meat, opening envelopes, and everything in between. Designed under the tutelage of master designer Ken Onion, it holds up to high standards while reflecting a fresh design and ultimate function. The Crossbones practically disappears when you slide it into your pocket, but it'll come out ready to face any task at hand.
The Crossbones is modeled after the first custom release of designer Jeff Park from Mililani, Hawaii. Jeff has been Ken Onion's right-hand shopman for over ten years now, and, after much goading, has finally released a custom design of his own.
The slim blade features a full flat grind and is deployed swiftly and smoothly with an IKBS Ball Bearing Pivot System. The brushed aluminum two-tone handle, when closed, resembles the shape of a dog bone and gives the Crossbones its name.
Devoid of fluff and frill, yet dependable and universal, the Crossbones is a man's best friend.

Pros: Weight, Pocket Clip
Cons: None
Blessing/Curse of Bearings
There is nothing worse than an unserviceable Knife. While the action is buttery smooth, the bearings are not caged. I took it apart to clean, and the loose bearings were impossible to replace. I contacted CRKT and their warranty dept. (Awesome warranty BTW) sent me new bearings for free. I had a new full set but I spent about 2 hours with a Swiss Army tweezers and a lock pick to get them in the little channel. When trying to put the scales back into position, several would pop inevitably out of place. I eventually scrapped a cheap Kershaw that happened to have the same diameter hinge pin and stole the brass bushings from that. Caged bearings are dirt cheap and for this price I would expect better from this quality manufacturer.

Pros: Weight, Ease of Opening, Pocket Clip
Cons: Lock Ease of Use
Excellent knife 1 problem
I love this knife, the look, feel, weight. I did notice that the liner lock is really hard to disengage. If you have to close this knife more than a few times it will start to wear on your thumb! Other than that, well done CRKT!
