CR7086: Richard Rogers 7086 Dually Folding Knife

Columbia River (CRKT)

Built for imbibing. Never get caught searching for quarters or keys to crack open a cold one. The dual-purpose Dually /dew-all-ee/ everyday carry folding knife has an integrated bottle opener and a compact, yet highly utilitarian drop point blade that's primed to become your next don't-leave-house-without-it knife. Cheers to that.

As an overseer of a ranch in the scrubby hills of Magdalena, New Mexico, designer Richard Rogers knows the necessity of well-crafted tools that serve more than one purpose. So, he designed the Dually everyday carry folding knife to be both simple, and useful from the back yard to the furthest reaches of the ranch. The stainless steel drop point blade holds its edge while the glass-reinforced nylon handle is grippy even through heavy gloves. The bottle opener is exposed when the slipjoint is disengaged and you swing the knife closed.

Do more, carry less.

Everyday carry when you don't need a large blade
I'm an office worker and a grandpa. I don't need a big knife. I need to be able to open a package at work or a grandchild's gift. It was only after I received the knife did I realize that it had a bottle opener too. This will be helpful at the end of a day at the office. The blade seems to be of high quality, sharp out of the box, and should last me for years. I'm concerned about the pocket clip as I've already had it catch on something and bend out of shape already. Time will tell. This was a reasonably priced knife that I hope will last me until my grand-kids can carry a knife and then I'll give it away.KnifeCenter, I was especially impressed with your ship time. Sadly, you gave the package to USPS and they took the most circuitous route to my home in SC!

Pros: Blade Sharpness
Cons: Ease of Opening
cute
It's a very sharp knife and when it's open it fits nicely in your hand. Opening it is a challenge. If you try to open it like a flipper you'll put a triangle shaped hole in your thumb. So you kind of have to open it like a front flipper and then it stabs you in the palm. But it's a great knife. I love it.

"flipper"
It's a cute little knife, very sharp. Good blade steel. It's a little tricky to open. I haven't quite figured it out yet. To use it as a flipperer, there's a hook that goes right into the soft spot of the pad of your thumb. Yeah that kind of hurts. You can press your thumb against the flat side and push to the side, but it doesn't really want to do that and there's nothing to to grab on to. Or you can use it like a front flipper and that's a little more difficult. The blade is really stiff and that might work out. You know in time. I like it. It has a nice texture aluminum with fish scales. But it's a little smooth. Okay. I just figured out how to open it like you're flicking a bic lighter using your thumb and the blade tip pokes you a little bit on the way out but I don't know, I like it. It would be perfect pocket size if it wasn't for the hook on the end but it's got a lanyard hole. It just feels nice in your hand. I would recommend yeah.
