The Jake is a durable and lightweight flipper designed by Ken Onion as mid-size EDC knife perfect for your pocket. The blade is Sandvik 12C27 in a drop point configuration giving it excellent edge retention during use. The finish of the blade is a bead blast that has been brushed which gives it a unique appearance that doesn't reflect much light. IKBS pivot construction aids the flipper tab in allowing the knife to be deployed easily and secures firmly with a liner lock. The textured aluminum handle combines with a heavily textured G10 inlay to give superior grip in most conditions. With its lightweight construction and EDC design, Ken Onion has brought another classic knife to the table.

Looks great, nice weight. Scales are a little abrasive and tough on pocket but it fits well in it. Clip is small but it works well. When you flick it you better mean it, the jimping helps. If you don't hit the flicker hard it may misfire. The jimping on the spine is just right as well. Feels good in the hand when open. Blade has a nice shape and size, sharp and pointy out of the box. Liner lock is easy to manipulate. There is a lanyard hole and it has jimping on it as well, but it's exposed and the sides of it are a little sharp. if you grip the handle strong you will feel it. Very smooth open and close. My first reason for getting, it was my sons name. Glad I added it to my collection.

Misfires if you don't flick it hard and fastG-10 inlays are sharp real aggressive and will "chew-up" your pocket very quicklyOverall I'm happy with the purchase... however there are other knives for the same price that I would put ahead of this one.
