Absolute HOG of a knife
I didn't think I'd enjoy this knife anywhere near as much as I do. Visually, it's such a striking piece, really a head turner. Very light for it's size, the fit and feel is almost immaculate. Surprisingly ergonomic considering how straight the handle is. G10 is textured very nicely, grippy but not too coarse. Size wise, the handle I find is perfect. Seen a few people ragging on it being too big but this is done deliberatey to accommodate multiple grips. That being said, in the traditional reverse/ice-pick grip, the elongated handle actually gives you an extra 2 or so inches of reach on top of the colossal 4 3/8" blade. The Hawkbill style blade is honestly one of the least curved/hooked blades I've seen on a karambit, allowing this knife to serve more utilitarian purposes. The "wave" feature on the spine is definitely usable, albeit a little tricky to perfect. Not nearly as effortless as the Emerson but when this does work it feels fantastic, let alone looks and sounds very intimidating. The famous Tri-Ad lock is one of the highlights of this knife. You hear all the time about how bulletproof it is, but to actually have it in your hands and feel the snap of the blade locking into place is a different story. This lock is BULLETPROOF. Though I will admit even I, with my monstrous hands have a hard time closing the blade because of how stiff the lock disengage is. The retention ring is purposefully oversized just like everything else on this knife. Made to accommodate use with gloves. Due to its thin profile and how lightweight it is, you can absolutely flip and flail this guy around if you know what you're doing. All in all, this is a fantastic quality karambit. I find myself unable to put it down for more than half an hour; well worth every penny to this enthusiast.
