CS36MCD: 36MCD Drop Forged Wasp

Cold Steel

It's a real challenge to make a double-edged knife strong and tough enough to meet Cold Steel's standards but their Drop Forged Wasp has exceeded all of their expectations. You see there is nothing to break, become loose or wear out. Its monolithic construction makes the blade, guard and tang one inseparable piece. Only the handle scales are an "add-on" and they are quickly and easily replaced in the very unlikely event they break or wear out. Perfectly balanced with a sturdy yet needle sharp point and wasp waisted so it cuts coming and going. The Wasp is a frighteningly effective knife that's virtually bomb proof! Delivered with a terrific Secure-Ex sheath. It's light enough to carry all day and sure to last a lifetime if it's given a reasonable amount of maintenance.

Great dagger!
Well made and sturdier than most daggers on the market. Edge geometry won't allow for "razor" sharpness. It is not designed as a cutter. It's designed to stab through most materials. It retains it's 1/4" thickness right up to tip. Your not gonna break this one.

Some things are worth buying in pairs
I bought this knife for son #1 who is an Army Lieutenant and who’s life may depend on it one day. He’s had the knife for about 6 months now and absolutely loves it. The knife is light and fast. It’s also razor sharp right out of the box and surprisingly strong. We really give this knife a 4.75 because it is gray, not black and we believe that the sheath should come with a variety of mounting options included. Open carry of this type of weapon is counter productive. In any real situation you would want to use this offensively, defensively and the element of surprise and the fact that it’s completely silent are key advantages.

Incredible bang for your buck
Sturdy full tang, awesome grippy handle, great weight and feel in the hand, hole in the pommel to thread a cord through.And the sheath! The knife clicks into place securely and also gets secured around the handle. One of the best sheaths I've had on one of my knives.This is an awesome piece for the price.
