Fox Knives

A versatile design from Jesper Voxnaes, the Core by Fox Knives gets the job done with a broad 3.15" drop point blade of premium N690 steel. The black coated blade features dual opening options with either the blade cutout or flipper tab.

When open, the flipper tab lines up with a groove for the index finger, providing protection to keep your hand from sliding forward. At the same time, a liner lock keeps the blade from closing when you don't want it to.

The black FRN handles sport a geometric pattern and provides traction, while a bright orange backspacer adds a bright contrasting color. A deep-carry wire clip in black can be set up for right or left-handed carry and keeps the knife in your pocket in a tip-up configuration for ready deployment.

The Core can excel in a wide range of applications. It is small enough to carry every day and the open-backed construction makes it easy to keep clean. Outdoorsmen will also appreciate the large belly on the blade while on the hunt or roaming the woods.

Böhler N690 Steel

The cobalt-alloyed N690 by Böhler (not to be confused with the lower-grade N695) is a very reliable upper middle-grade steel Fox uses for a wide variety of projects. The fine-grained N690, which ranks above 440C, offers convincing performance data in all areas. It is often sold as N690Co – the "Co" stands for cobalt and describes the exact same steel.

Cons: None
Very high quality incredible fit and finish. 5 stars
I'm blown away by the quality of this Italian knife. Literally the perfect flipper. Very high quality steel (important to me) and materials AND made in Italy. What more do you need? The fit and finish is the best ive seen and the blade is SCREAMING sharp. I know what I'm talking about - I have a few ZTs and few Shirogorovs - and this Fox Core is equal in quality and design. Jesper Voxnaes blessed Fox with this design. A thing of true beauty. I'm very impressed and will be checking out more Fox knives in the near future. Buy with confidence. You will be impressed, too.Thanksstay sharp!

Pros: Weight, Ease of Opening, Blade Material, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Lock Ease of Use
italian made 3x4x7 liner lock
its a small knife for me so I use 3 finger grip, the detent is strong with no gravity flipping just the way I like it.lockup is exceptional and has great sound wich attracted me to it from others reviews on youtube.no hot spots anywhere, now for the cons, the only jimping is a small amount of aggressive jimping on the small orange aluminum backspacer wich the orange chips off easily, the liner lock can have a lil stick but that never really bothers me,the front finger choil is too small for me to use safely but may be big enough for some, the pocket clip is good but I feel like it could of had a better design, now this knife is the upgraded version of the crkt batum wich I also have and its choil is big enough for my finger and its a less expensive knife but not made in Italy with the better materials and craftsmanship
