Gerber

Gerber has been making survival knives for the US Military since 1968. The StrongArm Fixed Blade carries on their legacy of tough-as-hell fixed blade knives for combat and survival applications. Featuring a fine edge, full tang 420HC blade with black ceramic coating, the knife was designed around the fundamentals of military survival training. The diamond texture rubberized handle provides a solid grip in all conditions. 

As important as the knife itself is the StrongArm's modular sheath system. The sheath's snap-together components allow the operator to mount the knife vertically on MOLLE, horizontally on a standard 1.75" tactical belt, or in a traditional drop-leg belt mount fashion.

Incredible, well rounded knife
I’ve had this product for almost a year now and it can take a lot of abuse. For a quote “tactical knife.” This knife can do it all from opening boxes to performing well in survival situations. The only downside to this knife is the 420hc steel used. Not terrible but you will have to sharpen this knife more often.

It is my go-to camping knife
Although maybe not made to be a camping/survival knife, it handles these tasks very well. It is the knife I keep in my go-bag with a Mora Companion as a back up.

Solid blade
Very sturdy knife. Thick blade stock. Grippy handle. Great sheath.The knife arrived moderately sharp. This is an area that could be improved upon. Other than that the knife is great. Don't fear Gerbers USA products. The 420hc is not a super steel but has held up well for skinning and light wood work. I use this knife for hunting mostly.
