Gerber

Gerber has been making survival knives for the US Military since 1968. The StrongArm Fixed Blade carries on their legacy of tough-as-hell fixed blade knives for combat and survival applications. Featuring a combo edge, full tang 420HC blade with black ceramic coating, the knife was designed around the fundamentals of military survival training. The diamond texture rubberized handle provides a solid grip in all conditions.

As important as the knife itself is the StrongArm's modular sheath system. The sheath's snap-together components allow the operator to mount the knife vertically on MOLLE, horizontally on a standard 1.75" tactical belt, or in a traditional drop-leg belt mount fashion.

Great Survivalist Knife!

I got this knife over 10 yrs. ago just to have around in case I needed a "do it all" knife while out and about. It's my first quality knife. Just recently started to take it with me while on hikes and don't even know I'm carrying it with the compact sheath set up. You can't go wrong with the StrongArm.

Great knife

This knife is good but not great, I honestly don't believe it's worth $70. I switch between this knife and the SOG seal pup and both work very well for EDC while outdoors. Definitely recommend but wait for a sale.

My EDC

I was going to buy the buck sentry but it was discontinued so I grabbed this. Actually my wife recommended it and it ended up being the most reliable knife I own. I carry this every time I leave the house and use it at home several times a week as well. I cut my veggies, fruit and meat with it. I use it in the yard all the time. Last weekend I cut an old garden hose into about 10-15 pieces and it still shaved my arm afterwards. I made a late night stop to my storage unit last winter and found it to have major ice buildup in front of the door. I used my strongarm to break it all up. The skull crusher on the end worked perfectly. The sheath is best carried scout style, since the cloth part comes unsnapped too easily in vertical carry. Overall probably the strongest and most reliable knife I’ve ever owned. If I lost it I would buy another.
