The ACE Atelier is the EDC-friendlier version of the popular Grand model, which was based on the GM5.

With the GM5, GiantMouse set out to create what they felt would be a “magnum opus” - the ultimate GiantMouse folder to date. A cool design with an even cooler look and finish. The GM5 was the kind of folder that checks all boxes;

While the ACE Atelier still checks every box on the list, GiantMouse changed a couple of things in addition to the size. They went for a nice Burlap Micarta for the rounded scales and went with nested liners and a strong liner lock.
 
The Burlap Atelier is a stunning variation of the classic Atelier design, where timeless craftsmanship meets cutting-edge performance. This exquisite knife is crafted with a PVD-finished Elmax stainless steel blade, renowned for its superior edge retention, corrosion resistance, and exceptional toughness. The handle scales in finely textured Burlap Micarta, offer a warm, organic look and feel, ensuring a secure grip even in challenging conditions. The Name

The Atelier was named after one of Jens' and Jesper's favorite bars in one of their favorite hotels on their yearly tour of shows. The Grand Hotel Nuremberg is an old hotel with a long history and a GREAT bar! When the GiantMouse team is in Nuremberg for the IWA Outdoor Classics show every March, most evenings either begin or end (sometimes both) at Atelier Bar at the Grand Hotel.
