This is the "Big Brother" to the standard Ka-Bar 1211 combat knife. It's huge! It has a blade that is just over 9-1/2" and an overall length of 14-1/8" Ka-Bar has an honored history: During WWII a legend was born, as several companies were asked by the U.S. Government to help supply troops with combat/utility knives. KA-BAR stepped up to the challenge and their reputation became so strong that all who are familiar with this knife refer to any of its kind simply as the "KA-BAR". Very Happy with my Ka-Bar Leatherneck 2211!
Received my Ka-Bar Leatherneck 2211 today (11/21/23). The packaging was excellent. I inspected the knife and couldn't find any imperfections. While inspecting the 2211, I couldn't help but be impressed with the workmanship. The blade was sharp and there was no shaking with the hand guard. The grip felt great in my hand. I was impressed. The knife felt good and solid. It's wasn't light or heavy. I plan on using the knife for self-defense and medium duty survival/bushcraft. The quality of the leather sheath was excellent! However, there should be an option to select a Kydex sheath given how the knife will be used. Kydex is weather resistant. Overall, I give the Ka-Bar 2211 a 10 out of 10. Couldn't find any flaws with this knife. Thank you Knife Center for promptly processing my order.

I am guessing the positive reviews are from non-knife people? Otherwise I cannot fathom those reviews. I was excited to recieve what I figured was a larger classic Kabar design with stacked leather. I have some Becker's. Admittedly I am used to good knives like Busse, SYKCO, Swamp Rat, but also OKC, bayos, etc... lots of blades under $100 or $200.This blade SUCKS and I figured I could snap it at the guard if I wanted to. Black paint looks bad bad bad. Not like anything I am used to, even back to my BIG5 knife sale days. I got a CRKT fixed blade made in China back then and it was more robust than this flashy POS.
