The Leek series includes some of our most popular knives. And no wonder. Kershaw's Leeks offer Ken Onion's distinctive design as well as the SpeedSafe ambidextrous assisted opening system. With SpeedSafe, the user can smoothly and easily deploy the blade with one hand, either left or right. Leeks come in a variety of handle styles, some with technologically advanced coatings for enhanced performance. For example, the bead-blasted stainless steel handle offers strength and beauty. A handle with black Tungsten DLC coating produces a Leek with a non-reflective surface. For lightweight and a one-of-a-kind look, choose our "smoked" double-anodized aluminum finish in two colors. Or choose our Pink Leek with it's fashionable pink anodized aluminum handle, the Rainbow Leek with its titanium oxide coating that produces a highly scratch resistant, brilliant, rainbow finish. Also new in 2007 is our Random Leek with a modified Tanto blade for cutting power and chromium nitride coating for hardness and corrosion resistance. For ease of carrying, all Leeks include a reversible/removable pocket clip.

Damascus Steel
A layered steel that can be either carbon or stainless. The finished blade is acid etched to give it a unique design. Damascus is known for its toughness, and edge holding capabilities.
Frame Lock
Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.
Buy this folder for the terrific function and fit of a Leek rather than the Damascus steel. Interestingly, my original of this knife was a sub-par Kershaw - after returning it, the superb Knife Center team provided a replacement that's absolutely perfect - making the ownership of this Leek all the more satisfying.
I love Kershaw knifes especially the leaks and I’ve been using them for over 20 years with very good success but the Kershaw 1660dam was nice but not worth $90 that Damascus didn’t seem to be as pretty as I would think the knife looked like it was dirty the Damascus wasn’t as defined as I would think. A more expensive knife that doesn’t show the Damascus isn’t worth the money. I would rather get a leak that’s a little more inexpensive and as pretty as the Damascus like the Kershaw 1600 leak is an awesome knife and I have several in my collection
Everyday knife user and I own a couple Leek knives. This one is the best of the bunch. The lock seems to break after a year or so of use. Just a small plastic piece to replace. Few strokes to razor sharp and lasts for weeks. Comfortable to hold, use and easy to store in pocket. Love the reversible clip. The pic shows stainless clip, but i received a black clip on mine. I just switched it with another, but slightly misleading. I have gone through a lot of pocket knives and the Leek by kershaw is the best in value I have found.
